Tool holders for the lantern tool post are as follows, Armstrong No 2050 threading tool Armstrong no 15 boring bar holder -will hold up to a 1/2" bar and has steps for a 1/4" tool bit Williams No 0 knurling tool Armstrong No 0-L tool holder Armstrong No 20 parting/cut off tool with extra blade, box and wrench ( extra box that held blades too ) Armstrong No T0 L w/box and wrench Armstrong No 0-S w/box and wrench Armstrong No 0-R w/box and wrench Altas No. Two 0-3/8" Jacobs no 11N Heavy Duty Ball Bearing Chucks on MT2 arbors, one MT2 dead center and a MT3 dead center for the headstock end. I also picked up an extra change gear cover for the correct gear changes. Spare gears are the following tooth counts.
Change gears are two 96 tooth plus a 24 tooth on the lathe.
Included with the lathe are an operating manual purchased off Tony's website, the 5" three jaw chuck shown on the lathe, another 5" three jaw chuck with "opposite" jaws and a Craftsman 4" four jaw chuck. It's not bad for a lathe that is 87 years old.
Known issues, a broken bolt mount on one of the ears for the motor mount ( can be seen in the latheUK pictures) and the carriage doesn't move perfectly smooth. It is missing the cover plate on the motor. The metal box uses existing holes and the cord is a heavy duty extension cord. The guy I purchased the lathe from wired it for me. It has a threading dial and the carriage can be fed in either direction. It has carriage feed but not cross slide feed. A 3/4" bar "rattles" in the spindle bore and the bore measures about. It has a 1-1/2 - 8 TPI spindle and is marketed as a 3/4" bore. Here is the same Atlas that is for sale here, on his website ( starting about 1/3 of the way down where the blue lathe pictures start) This lathe is the first model offered with V belts. When I first purchased the lathe, I emailed Tony at UK Lathes and he got all excited since he said it's original. It's in decent working condition but unused by me since I got my Monarch. I am offering my 1932 Atlas 9" x 18" lathe for sale.
